Biography

Mark Fjeldsted is co-owner of The Sportsman, a family-owned business started by his grandfather in 1947. Since 1991, Mark has been deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of the business including buying, selling, hiring, accounting, marketing, training and building their online presence. The Sportsman, located in downtown Logan, specializes in clothing for men and women, shoes, cross country, and downhill skis, outdoor clothing and equipment, mountain and road bikes, and a thriving bike and season ski rental program. Mark prides himself on differentiating their business with unique products, high-quality brands, exemplary customer service, and an excellent shopping experience.

Mark has served as President of the Logan Downtown Alliance and chairman of their Economic Development Committee. He is passionate about downtown development and was instrumental in bringing viability and events.

Mark graduated from Utah State in 1994 with a degree in Liberal Arts. He and his wife, Holly, live in Logan with their 5 children.
