Shelby graduated from the Huntsman School of Business Fall of 2015 with a degree in Marketing. While a student, Shelby immersed herself in various clubs and activities on campus, holding leadership positions in Kappa Delta Sorority, Utah State University Student Association, Utah Student Association, and President’s Cabinet. She also participated in the Go Global Learning Abroad program and studied in Vietnam, Thailand, China, and Hong Kong.

 

After graduating, Shelby embarked on her career as a Sales Development Representative at Instructure and throughout her tenure moved into multiple leadership roles within the department. She then ventured into the realm of Startups in the SaaS industry. Leveraging her expertise, she offered valuable guidance and consultation to numerous up-and-coming companies in the space. Currently, Shelby serves as a Sales Director at a startup called Strider that was founded by fellow graduates of the Huntsman School of Business, highlighting her strong ties to her alma mater.

 

Outside of work, Shelby is passionate about mentoring and developing the next wave of talent entering the workforce, specifically women pursuing a career in business and sales. Together with her husband Alex, whom she met in a finance class during their time at USU, Shelby enjoys traveling to new destinations, spending quality time with their beloved dog Winston, cheering on the Utah Jazz, playing a round of golf, and honing her skills in film photography.
