Biography

Caretha Coleman is a principal of Coleman Consulting, where her practice focuses on working with start-ups and early stage ventures in the areas of strategy development, executive coaching and effectiveness. She has 35 years of experience in the technology industry with companies such as Interval Research, a Silicon Valley research lab and incubator, where she was Chief Administration Officer. Prior to Interval, Ms. Coleman was EVP, Human Resources at Software Publishing Corporation, the developer of the first desktop application software for the personal computer. She began her career at Hewlett Packard. Ms. Coleman serves as a Director on the Board of Dignity Health, a $16 billion healthcare system where she also served as Chairman; as well as Viridis Learning. She is an advisor to Illuminate, an early stage VC focused on enterprise cloud and mobile computing. She chairs The Leverage Network’s Healthcare Board Initiative (HcBI) and is an executive committee member of the Bay Area Black Corporate Directors. Caretha is on the National Board of Facing History and Ourselves, a member of the Board Emeriti of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation and the advisory board of the Ravenswood Health Clinic. She was recognized as one of the Bay Area’s most Influential Women by the San Francisco Business Times; and Outstanding Director by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
