Biography
Kent Christensen received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and a Master of Science in Accounting degree with an emphasis on taxation from Weber State University. Kent joined Haynie & Company in 1999 and manages the Salt Lake City tax department. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (UACPA). He is well qualified in corporate income taxation, partnership taxation, individual taxation, and related planning and business organization.
Kent’s experience includes consultation on a wide array of issues including multi-state taxation, methods of accounting for inventories, inventory capitalization rules, fixed asset depreciation, alternative minimum tax, methods of accounting differences between book and tax, forms of doing business, and all other phases of consulting and compliance, including consolidated filing issues, mergers and acquisitions, international tax, IRS interface, and year-round tax planning. Kent consults with domestic companies, many with international operations, to comply with complex tax reporting requirements and help minimize federal and state income tax liabilities.
