Biography

Tanner received a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems Management from Brigham Young University. After graduating he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Tanner founded the Ragnar Relay Series in 2004 with childhood friend, Dan Hill. They had just $2,500, little event experience, but a lot of passion and tenacity. Today the Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back has become the largest running event in Utah and the largest overnight running relay in the world. The Ragnar Relay Series has expanded to 14 events nationwide with more than 60,000 participants in 2011. The series is the largest endurance event series in the world.
