Biography

Eduardo Zanatta's life and career have been deeply impacted by Dr. Stephen R. Covey and the 7 Habits, beginning as an 11-year old boy when he was encouraged by his father, after reading Dr. Covey's book, to write his first personal mission statement.

At the age of 15, Eduardo moved to Provo, UT from Brazil as a foreign exchange student. He spent his lunch breaks in the school library reading "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens," as he was too intimidated to mingle with the students, given the new culture and language. "Those introspective lunch breaks turned out to be a great foundational blessing in my life," he says in hindsight.

Eduardo met Dr. Covey during his time in Provo, and Stephen became a dear mentor and friend to him, encouraging Eduardo to attend Brigham Young University and to pursue an MBA at Harvard, which he did.

In his current role at DaVita, a Fortune 200, Eduardo supports the company’s Home Dialysis business nationally. Prior to joining DaVita, he worked for Innosight, a management and innovation consultancy founded by Professor Clayton M. Christensen. Eduardo’s training and experience using the disruption theory to help organizations reinvent themselves greatly influenced his decision to help DaVita expand its Home Dialysis offering.

Outside of work, Eduardo enjoys biking, reading, traveling, and spending time with his family. Eduardo, his wife, Lauren, and their 4 children (Stephen – named after Dr. Covey – James, Eleanor, and Grace) currently live in Provo, UT.
