Biography

Jimmy was born and raised in Cache Valley as the youngest of five siblings. After graduating from high school, he attended Utah State University pursuing a degree in engineering. One year after starting school, he took a two-year break for a mission in Northern Germany for the Church of Jesus Christ. Upon returning, he quickly realized his passion for business & finance and eventually graduated with degrees in Finance & Economics in 2017.

Jimmy started his career working for SoFi, a San Francisco-based startup focused on building an all-in-one solution for consumer finances. This propelled Jimmy to join a FinTech startup, Brex, 15 months into his first role. 

Brex started as a corporate credit card company and is now building the financial operating system for all businesses offering products like deposits accounts, credit cards, spend management, venture debt, and more. Since starting at Brex, Jimmy has been deeply involved in the early iterations of the company, from building out the sales motion and strategy, to holding a top-line revenue number for the org, and scaling their partnerships team.

Jimmy has a huge passion for real estate, loves to ski & golf, and enjoys making homemade woodfired pizza. He is also the father to a beautiful baby girl named Ivory that is his whole world.
