Biography

Bo Nemelka is a Partner on Intermountain Healthcare’s Strategy Office team.  In this role, Bo leads enterprise strategy and innovation, specifically supporting Community Health, SelectHealth, and Ventures.  As part of this work, Bo brings expertise in large employer engagement, digital children’s health platforms, impact asset management and investing, and innovation capture and deployment.

Bo is the Founder and President of Can You PLAY? – an effort to encourage and digitally facilitate more in-person play, especially among kids.  The app is designed for parents, guardians, and caregivers to safely get kids playing more in the physical world, combating the virtual pressures of today.

Prior to Intermountain, Bo was the Managing Principal of the Leavitt Partners’ Salt Lake City office.  Bo led a team of consultants serving dozens of clients around the country who were seeking help developing strategic growth plans and executing on projects aligned to advancing value in healthcare and public health – delivery, payment, and prevention.

Bo is active in the community: BioUtah Board Member, Community Advisory Board Member for the University of Utah MHA program, Community Outreach Committee Member for Intermountain Healthcare’s Layton Hospital, and an adjunct professor and young alumni board member at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University.

Bo was the Student Body President at the Yale School of Public Health where he earned his graduate degree in healthcare management.  Bo earned his bachelor’s in marketing from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. Bo is a published author with Simon & Shuster. 

Bo married his high school sweetheart, Katie, and they have five children and live in Farmington, Utah.
