PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Jon M. Huntsman School of Business is a nationally recognized leader in the area of undergraduate research in business. Under the mentorship of business faculty, our students have presented research in prestigious national and regional undergraduate forums including:

  • Research Day at Capital Hill
  • Utah Conference on Undergraduate Research
  • National Conference on Undergraduate Research.

Students have also collaborated with Huntsman faculty on research projects that address meaningful business problems. The results are often published in peer-reviewed scholarly and professional conference proceedings and journals such as:

  • Journal of Education for Business
  • Journal of Business Inquiry
  • The Electricity Journal
  • Journal of Business and Economics Research
  • Journal of Travel Research
  • Proceedings of the Marketing Management Association
  • Proceedings of the Western Decision Sciences Institute
  • Proceedings of the Mountain Plains Management Association

As a student-centered program, a multitude of opportunities are provided so that students can select an option that best fits their educational and career goals. Whether this is an application to a real-world business problem through a class project or a collaboration with a noted faculty scholar to solve an important business problem facing the discipline, the program is designed to accelerate students’ professional and education careers by giving them the research tools they need to help succeed in today’s increasingly dynamic environment.
