Program Structure

The Huntsman Scholar Program is a unique, cohort-based experience that challenges you in many ways. The goal is for you to become an exceptional scholar-leader who will make a positive difference in the community, nation, and world.

Program Levels

Candidate Level

Focus on completing general education and core coursework in business and economics

Participate in weekly meetings featuring academic discussions, service projects, and leadership opportunities

Eligible to complete an approved Huntsman Global Learning Experience or USU Study Abroad Program

High school, on-campus, and transfer students are eligible to apply for the Candidate Level

 

 

Scholar Level

Students generally in their third or forth year of full-time college coursework.

Participate in the Scholar Semester, an intensive, 15-credit, fall semester focused on integrating global business and politics

Participate in weekly meetings featuring academic discussions, service projects, and leadership opportunities

Plan weekly meetings and provide leadership for the overall program

On campus and transfer students are eligible to apply for the Scholar Level

**Students need to pass ECON 1500, ECON 2010, ECON 3400 and MGT 3500 prior to beginning the Scholar Semester

Scholarship Details

All program students receive a semester stipend of $1,000 which is renewed each semester upon maintaining program eligibility.

Scholar Semester students have program costs covered for their time in Europe (Scholar Level)

Students in the program are also eligible to compete for additional scholarship funds to defray the cost of:

>A summer study abroad program (Candidate Level)

>Academic opportunities such as an internship or conference attendance (Scholar Level)
