In January Sen. Wayne Neiderhauser was elected president of the Utah State Senate. He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the Huntsman School, is a CPA, and is an owner of real estate development firm CW Management.
Elected to the Senate in 2006 representing Sandy and Draper, Sen. Niederhauser sponsored the State Financial Transparency website, giving people access to financial information.
A Salt Lake Tribune article called him the Senate’s “resident outdoor maniac,” who engages frequently in backcountry skiing, night skiing, climbing, and biking. He says his “upbringing in Logan” helped create his love of the outdoors.
