Graduate Procedures (Non-Thesis, Plan C)

 Application Process

  1. Complete an on-line application (Click here for link to on-line application).  This requires:
  • Two official copies of all higher education transcripts
  • Application fee (US $55 for all applicants; non-refundable; make checks payable to USU Graduate School)
  • Three Letters of Recommendation Two recommendations must be from professors if the applicant has been in school in the last five years.
  • GMAT Test Results (use institution code 4857) or GRE Test Results (use institution code 4857) or
  • TOEFL Test Results (required if English is a second language; use institution code 4857) or IELTS

 Admission Deadlines 

  • Fall Semester:  July 1
  • Spring Semester:  November 1
  • Summer Semester: March 1

* International students should plan to apply several months before these deadlines to have time to complete the visa process.

Matriculation Requirements (matriculation means full, unconditional admission)

  • Earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • GPA of 3.2 or higher in the most recent 60 semester credits (or 90 quarter credits) completed
  • Minimum GMAT verbal, quantitative, and total scores all in the 40th percentile or higher OR
  • Minimum GRE verbal, quantitative, and total scores all in the 40th percentile or higher 
  • Minimum TOEFL score of 600 on the paper version or 213 on the computer version or 79 on the internet (from applicants whose first language is not English) OR
  • Minimum IELTS score of 6.0
  • Favorable letters of reference from legitimate sources
  • Permanent U.S. residents may be admitted provisionally under special circumstances. No more than 12 graduate credits may be completed, however, before full matriculation. Provisional matriculation is generally unavailable to international students because of student visa regulations from the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service.
