Biography

Dr. Glenn M. McEvoy holds a bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and both masters and Ph.D. degrees in Management and Organization from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Glenn has taught at eight different universities, including schools in the UK, Australia, and Canada. The former Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and Department Head in Management and Human Resources, he is currently Professor of Management at Utah State University.

Originally from Montana, Glenn teaches organization behavior and human resource management and conducts research in the areas of international management, employee retention, organization change, training, and performance appraisal. His work has appeared in major academic journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Personnel Psychology as well as key practitioner journals such as Human Resource Management, Training and Development Journal, and Human Resource Management Review, and he currently serves on the editorial board of Human Resource Management Journal.

Over the course of his career, Glenn has won multiple teaching awards, has received evaluations by students that are consistently in the upper 20th percentile of all university instructors, and has been recognized by the provost of Utah State University as a “master teacher.” He has also been very active in professional organizations and service to both his community and to USU, and is currently finishing up his term as President of the USU Faculty Senate.
