The School of Accountancy offers both scholarships and graduate assistantships on a competitive basis. Approximately 15 to 20 scholarships and 12 to 15 graduate assistantships are awarded per academic year. Applications must be submitted to the School of Accountancy by March 1st. Awards are generally announced by the first week of April.
Assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis to students who have good scholastic and communication skills. International students are eligible to apply for an assistantship after attending one year at an English language university.
Students are assigned to work approximately 10 hours per week with a faculty member as a grader, lab assistant, or research assistant and will be paid $1,600 per semester. Students must be enrolled in graduate level accounting courses. Enrollment in pre-requisite courses will not qualify a student to receive the assistantship. Students must have a U.S. Social Security card before the award can be finalized.
