
In 1990, he began investing in real estate and is now one of the largest stockholders of portfolio real estate assets managed by Wasatch Property Management, with more than 12,000 residential apartments and more than 2 million square feet of office space in Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Washington and California.
He is the majority owner CEO and president of the Eagle Gate College Group with four campuses and 1,500 students in Utah. He is also the owner and manager of Bullen and Harris LLC, a management and investment company.
Mr. Bullen's community service includes serving as the executive director of the Capitol Arts Alliance from 1990-1992. The Alliance spearheaded the renovation of the historic Ellen Eccles Theatre and Bullen Center in Logan, Utah. In addition to serving as a trustee and board member of the Mormon Historic Sites Foundation, he also serves as chairman of the Utah State University Foundation and a board member of the Leonard J. Arrington Lecture & Archives Foundation. In 2005, he received the Distinguished Service Award from USU. He was recently elected as a board member of the Career College Association. He is a past member of the Utah Opera Chorus.
He is married to Julie Harris and has four children. His hobbies include golf, fishing, hunting, biking and singing. Mr. Bullen lives in Rancho Sante Fe, California, and commutes to work in Salt Lake City, Utah.
