
Before he worked at Tanner LLC, he was with the IRS for 26 years. He was a revenue agent for three years and the rest of the time he was in District Conference and Appeals work.
He is regular speaker for the Utah Association of CPAs (UACP), which honored him with the Outstanding Committee Chair Award in 1999, the Outstanding CPA in public practice award in 2000 and the award for Distinguished Service in 2003.
Since 1990 he has spoken at the Westminster College Tax Conference and has spoken at the Utah State University Accounting Conference in 1990 and 2005.
At the UACP, he was the chair of the Federal Tax Committee in 1995 and 1996 and in 1999 he was named Outstanding Committee Chair.
He graduated with a B.S. from Utah State University and was named the Outstanding Business and Accounting student in 1963.
Gail Anger and his wife, Martha Jane, have four children and 10 grandchildren. Two of his children have become CPAs. He enjoys running and has run in seven marathons. He also plays tennis two or three times a week.
