The college has embedded course assessment into nearly all of its core courses. The chart below indicates the increase in percent correct of improvement between pre- and post-test measures in our core business courses, averaged across all sections of the course. Almost all courses showed meaningful increases in student learning with improved outcomes in the second semester of assessment. Testing issues were apparent in two or three courses in Spring 2006 which were remedied by Fall 2006. For a detail analysis of the pre- and post-test and relationships to learning goals refer to this Business Core Courses.

The college uses the Major Field Test in business developed by Educational Testing Services (ETS), Princeton, New Jersey, to measure student academic knowledge and to assess the educational outcomes of the business program’s core subjects collectively as well as separately. The scores below indicate how our Logan Campus graduating undergraduate students performed in each of the specific test areas when compared to students at other universities in the United States.
*Due to changes in the Business Test that were introduced in 2006, assessment indicators for the 2009 test cannot be compared to testing years prior to 2006.
