Biography

Tenia is the Creative Director at Decorworx. Cedar City, Utah has always been home for Tenia, she grew up minutes away from Decorworx’s main facility. Tenia started at Decorworx in soft production while she was in high school. As she became exposed to the products and designs the company was producing, she became interested in the creative aspect. She worked as a design intern for several years and eventually applied to be a full-time designer, where she was able to attend sales calls with the outside sales team members. Tenia then moved on to a marketing manager position and is now the Creative Director at Decorworx. With a Bachelors in Graphic Design, Tenia has an in-depth knowledge of the Adobe programs, branding, and marketing, which has given her experience necessary to working in her current position. As the Creative Director, Tenia oversees all of the creative departments within the company. She has a knack for translating the direction from the client and sales team to the designers. She is able to bridge communication styles between the different parties. With an understanding of all aspects of the company, she helps provide the graphic designers with creative direction to create the best store for each client.

Tenia is passionate about raising the standard of design. She believes that the next project will be the best project yet. She is energized about thinking and implementing new ways to push the creative departments in new directions. Tenia loves photography and she loves to travel. Her passions collide when she is traveling, and photographing the adventure. Tenia and her husband save and plan all year to set off on a new exploration. Traveling exposes her to new trends and designs, and it reminds her of the art that has stood the test of time. When she comes back from her travels, she has an entire collection of new ideas to implement into store designs. When Tenia is not working she enjoys spending time photographing her husband and new baby. She is constantly on the go, wanting to experience as much of life as possible. Since having a baby, Tenia has seen the world a little differently, things are more exciting and new to her. She notices the little things that she didn’t notice in the past as if she were seeing them through new eyes. Tenia always her camera with her so she can preserve the memories she is creating with her family. It would be impossible for Tenia to give up her sense of adventure and creativity. It is infused into every aspect of her life, from teaching her daughter new things to figuring out the next date with her husband.
