Biography

As founder, general manager, or CEO, Tom’s been part of building several remarkable technology companies.

He founded a high–tech hearing aid company and was part of the original Citysearch team. He rose to top management at Ticketmaster and led the family history/social–networking company called MyFamily.com to spectacular heights.

He attended Dartmouth College and earned an MBA from Stanford University before founding Sonic Innovations (SNCI) in 1993, which went on to become the world’s fastest-growing hearing device company.

When he left Sonic Innovations he went to Citysearch, one of the original Idealab companies, where he served as general manager of one of the company’s original markets. He went on to lead its international efforts.

He then moved on to Ticketmaster in 1998, where he served as president of Ticketmaster.com. In 2001 the company sold more than $1 billion of tickets online.

Between 2001 and 2004 Tom was CEO at MyFamily.com, which grew from $30 million to more than $140 million in annual sales, and from 250 to over 1,300 employees – serving more than 850,000 active subscribers.

Tom now serves on the boards of rapidly growing online services companies and is acting CEO of the online sales training company 3point5.

Tom, his wife, and four children live, work and play in Utah.
