Biography

Jason Osborn is an HR Leader with over 9 years of experience as a business partner in recruiting, employee relations, benefits, training, and workforce planning.  This includes a track record of implementing continuous improvement tools using technology and experience in change management in a manufacturing operation setting with multiple locations.

Q: Why did you choose the Huntsman School Master of Human Resources Program?
R: The Huntsman School Master of Human Resources Program focused on a cohort-based learning style and emphasized hands-on experience through internships and visits to international organizations. Building relationships with my cohort has proven to build a lifelong network. The internship allowed me to have my first job opportunity after the program and created a solid foundation for my career.

Q: What was your favorite part of the Huntsman School MHR Program?
R: My favorite part was the way I was challenged to supplement academics with hands-on Human Resources work. This happened through an internship and through projects we worked on as consultants for businesses in the area.

Q: What advice would you give current MHR students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in HR?
R: Take every opportunity to network within the program. Those in the program will be lifelong friends and may eventually provide career opportunities.

Q: What are your 2-3 main job duties?
R: HR Business Partner supporting our CA, TX, and NJ locations in organizational design, workforce planning, compensation, employee relations and performance management.
