Biography

Skyler Jenks was the 2010-2011 business senator for the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. As business senator, he served the students in the Huntsman School of Business on both university and college levels by working with the university administration, college administration and other ASUSU elected officers. Mr. Jenks served on or chaired several university councils and committees. They include the Academic Senate, Academic Opportunity Fund, Mentor Council, Business Council (chair) and the 2010-2011 Tier II Tuition Committee for student initiatives.

He grew up in Hyde Park, Utah, which is in beautiful Cache Valley. His parents are Jay and Lori Jenks. He has two brothers and one sister. They have been Aggie fans since his parents moved to Logan to attend Utah State University.

Mr. Jenks graduated from Sky View High School where he was active in sports and played the #1 tennis singles position. He won region his junior year. After high school, he served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Washington, DC. While serving there he learned Spanish and worked with people from South and Central America. He loves the outdoors. He snow and water ski’s and loves to mountain bike and rock climb.

In May 2011, Mr. Jenks graduated with bachelor's degrees in international business, finance, and economics. He also minored in accounting and international studies. He has taken full advantage of the opportunities that the Huntsman School of Business has offered him. He traveled to South America and spent a semester in Hawaii where he focused on international studies. He spent a month in Europe with the Huntsman Scholars Program and also went to New York City to search career options in the finance industry.
