Biography

Jeremy Hanks is an entrepreneur, author, and business visionary who has founded several successful companies. He is the co-founder and CEO of Doba, a leader in providing product sourcing services for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Mr. Hanks lives in Utah with his wife Amy and daughter Katlin. He is an avid hiker and backpacker who has trekked in several countries and is now working on hiking individual segments of the Continental Divide Trail.

Prior to co-founding Doba, Mr. Hanks headed up the development of a number of businesses in the supply chain, wholesale distribution, and retail industries, including GearTrade.com, an online marketplace for used and distressed inventory. In addition to serving as GearTrade’s founding President and CEO, he led the company through a merger with e3vertical and eventually became the company’s Co-CEO.

Mr. Hanks is also the co-author of eBay Inventory the Smart Way (AMACOM Books, March 2006), and Drop Shipping For Dummies (a small ‘custom publication’ from John Wiley & Sons, February 2005). He holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and is a certified eBay consultant. In addition to his duties at Doba, Mr. Hanks speaks to groups of undergraduate and graduate students at BYU and Utah Valley University about entrepreneurship and has previously served as a guest lecturer for the prestigious NxLeveL Entrepreneurial Training Program. As a result of his current and previous business successes, he has become a supply chain, product sourcing, e-commerce, and online auction expert, and is frequently asked to participate as a panel member at eBay Live.
