Biography

Craig C. Garrick grew up in Whittier, California. After graduating from La Serna High School, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts' degree from Brigham Young University and a Jurist Doctorate (Law) degree from the J. Reuben Clark School of Law, graduating with honors. The emphasis of Mr. Garrick's law curriculum was business and tax. He is a member of the American and California Bar Associations and has practiced transactional and litigation law, including appellate work, with the Newport Beach, California firm of Call, Clayton and Jensen.

Mr. Garrick is a pilot by background, obtaining his license as a teenager, and has been heavily involved in the commercial aviation industry for over 30 years. As a lawyer, he represented aviation companies and eventually left the practice of law to become involved in the aviation businesses directly. His experience started with international commercial aircraft and engine part distribution, later expanding to aircraft, engine and spare part management, maintenance, sales, and leasing.

Mr. Garrick is the founding shareholder of ComAv, LLC (ComAv), an aviation holding company, as well as ComAv Technical Services, LLC (CTS) and ComAv Asset Management, LLC (CAM), both wholly owned subsidiaries of ComAv. The ComAv group constitutes the first aeronautical companies to operate at the Southern California Logistics Airport in Victorville, CA, now celebrating over 20 years. It is also the largest employer. The group focuses on the management of commercial aviation assets, including providing commercial aircraft and engine maintenance, repair, parking/storage, line maintenance, and transitional services through CTS, and providing aircraft, engine, and spare parts management services, including sales, distribution, and leasing through CAM, all on an international basis.

The combined customer base of the ComAv companies includes many of the top tier manufacturing, leasing, and airlines worldwide. Aside from its offices and locations in the United States, ComAv also has an office in the United Kingdom from which it services its European, African and Middle Eastern customers.

Beyond ComAv, Mr. Garrick is also involved in other successful aviation and non-aviation businesses and is a member of several significant business and aviation professional associations, including the International Society of Aircraft Traders and the Aviation Section of the American Bar Association.

Aside from his business activities, Mr. Garrick is married and the father of four children, and twelve grandchildren. He also serves in executive positions and on the boards of several significant religious, educational and charitable organizations.
