Curriculum

The ABC is taught during a special 10-week term during summer semester. Since one year of curriculum is structured into only 10 weeks, the ABC is an extremely concentrated and intensive educational experience, demanding essentially all of a student's time and energy during those 10 weeks. Work, family events, vacations, and other outside conflicts and commitments cannot be "worked around." If a student is unable or unwilling to make that level of commitment, that student should not take the ABC but should instead satisfy the business core requirements on a course-by-course basis at the undergraduate level.

The ABC consists of seven modules (15 credits), which are viewed as separate courses. Students can take one or more of the classes.

  • Financial and Managerial Accounting (ACCT 6010) - 3 credits
  • Corporate Finance (FIN 3400) - 3 credits
  • Marketing (MGT 6510) - 1.5 credits
  • Production (MGT 6710) - 1.5 credits
  • Fundamentals of Economics (ECN 6050) - 3 credits
  • Management (MGT 6055) - 1.5 credits
  • Legal and Ethical Environment of Business (MGT 6075) - 1.5 credits
