cOMPETITION NOTES:

  • Objective Tests and Performance Events will be judged separately.  Events that normally require an objective test AND a performance event will be judged as two separate events. 
  • Events will be judged based on updated FBLA guidelines
  • Team events must consist of 2-3 Members

PERFORMANCE EVENTS

Business Ethics (Team of 2 or 3 students) - Online Business Ethics Guidelines (PDF page 37)

  • Students should research an ethical topic dealing with global business and sweatshops and/or child labor, write a 500 word synopsis (include a reference section - not counted in word limit), and bring two copies of this synopsis with you to your event time.

Emerging Business Issues (Team of 2 or 3 students) - Online Emerging Business Issues Guidelines (PDF page 38)

  • Use the 2015 FBLA NLC Topic and guidelines (present both affirmative and negative arguments, make recommendations, and summarize the case). 

Entrepreneurship (Team Event) - Online Entrepreneurship Guidelines (PDF page 18)

  • The case study will be given to students 20 minutes before their presentation time.  

Future Business Leader - Online Job Interview Guidelines (PDF page 31)

  • Students will bring a one-page cover letter and one-page resume (not to exceed 2 pages) to their scheduled interview time

  • The case study will be given to students 20 minutes before their presentation time.

  • The topic will be given to students 10 minutes before their presentation time.
