Biography

Bradley A. Winn, a leader in Utah higher education and state government, has served as the assistant commissioner for academic affairs (USHE - Board of Regents), provost and academic vice president (Snow College), vice president and dean (UVSC), and as the Higher Education Policy and Budget analyst for former Governor Michael O Leavitt.

He holds a B.S. in engineering from Purdue University, an M.P.A. from Brigham Young University and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.

During his distinguished career he has devoted time to serve the citizens of Utah as an elected member of the Utah State House of Representatives. Representative Winn was appointed vice chair of the Government Operations Committee and the Public Utilities and Technology Committee. He also served as a member of the Higher Education; Economic Development; Capital Facilities; Natural Resources, Agriculture, & Environment; Revenue & Taxation; and House Rules committees.

Before serving in higher education and state government, he worked in business and industry as a manager for the Novations consulting firm and as an engineer at ATK Thiokol for the space shuttle booster program.

Dr. Winn joined the faculty of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University in October 2009 where he teaches and conducts research on organizational leadership and strategy. In addition, he serves as the director of the graduate HR Executive Program, which is offered to working professionals throughout the state of Utah and beyond. Dr. Winn and his wife, Johanna, are the parents of five children. In addition to family activities he enjoys traveling, camping and hiking.
