Leadership Conference for Elementary Schools
The Elementary School Leadership Conference has become a staple of the Stephen R. Covey Leadership Center at USU. Each year, hundreds of Elementary school students and advisors gather from around the state to attend. Students will participate in a variety of themed workshops, engaging activities, educational practices and interactive games designed to help teach practical leadership skills. The leadership principles these students learn will give them a secure foundation of competencies they can reference as they navigate challenges and opportunities in their lives.
We are looking forward to improvement and innovation! Our annual Leadership Conference for Elementary Schools will be held in September 2024. Stay tuned for details!
An overview of our 2023 Conference:
On February 9, 2024 we hosted students from all over the state for this year’s Leadership Conference. They practiced becoming ‘life-long learners’ through our Electric Maze activity, learned ‘Empathy’ through teaching Covey’s Emotional Bank Account, ‘Authenticity’ through guiding students as they identify their prioritized values, and ‘Drive’ by strengthening student’s ‘why’ behind what they do.
The focus of the learning will be on the Covey Center's LEAD Model

It was a super good experience. I wish everyone could have that experience because the practices and things we did helped me to become a leader.
